Approximately 2,100 ballots missing the U.S. presidential race were mailed to residents of the Woodland Hills area of Los Angeles County voters, the Los Angeles Times reported.
The mailing of the faulty ballots was confirmed by the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s Office.
“While this has impacted a very small number of Los Angeles County voters … we nevertheless apologize to those affected by the mistake,” a spokesperson for the office said.
The representative said all affected voters are being alerted by robocall and email, and corrected ballots with a letter explaining the error are being sent out. Any ballot already submitted will be canceled once the voter’s new ballot is received, the spokesperson said. (Source: Los Angeles Times, October 6.)
