Revenue Accountability Project
The California Tax Foundation’s Revenue Accountability Project is dedicated to improving government efficiency and management of state and local tax dollars. This website contains examples of how state and local leaders can improve management practices and strengthen accountability for use of tax dollars. These examples also provide taxpayers with an understanding of where their tax dollars have been misspent. Better management and stronger accountability can ensure that tax dollars are protected and appropriated to quality services, and can reduce the need for tax increases.
